  I suspected we'd have a bad time here, but ignored my gut feeling given we were being treated to a meal out by family. I was wrong. We should have gone somewhere else.
  
  I called ahead, as I'm currently under strict dietary requirements (Low FODMAP), to ask for some guidance on the menu. The woman who answered was not at all helpful, repeatedly telling me to look at the online allergy menu, which I repeatedly said wasn't detailed enough.
  
  We had a table booked for 1:30. The place might have been 1/4 full, and we were on time, but had to wait 15 minutes to be seated.
  
  5 minutes later. 13:40. I ask what's in the sauces due to dietary requirements, but the waitress speaks poor English and said she'd get her manager. Another 10 minutes, and the manager abruptly interrupts to take the drinks order, no mention of food.
  
  Another 10 minutes. Drinks arrive, and we give our food order, but after a five minute conversation with the manager, she fetches a Gluten Free menu for me, and leaves me to it. Another there 15 minutes and the starters arrive for two of our table. Another long conversation, where we establish that almost everything on the menu is pre-mixed or made, and nothing is suitable.
  
  We've now been here for over an hour, and most of us hadn't eaten yet.
  
  My partner is ill, with sensory overload being a pretty bad thing, and this place was noisy, particularly as, despite the numerous empty tables, we were sat next to a loud party of about 20. She also, at this point, had low blood sugar. Her father went to the bar to get some Coke, and came back empty handed. After another 5 minutes, despite the urgency, no sugary drink.
  
  Loud noise. Understaffed. Slow, poor service. Limited menu if you have any dietary requirements. Even the chips have wheat in them, and just don't go here on the Low FODMAP Diet.
  
  In fact, don't go here at all. We had to leave.
  
  The rest of our party stayed for their mains. These were warn, not hot, and also slow to arrive.
  
  We've tried most of the restaurants in Epping. This Prezzo is the worst one. If you need a cheap Italian chain, go to Pizza Express.
